Help us keep the Crescenta Commons clean and green:
Crescenta Commons located on the corner of Orange and Rosemont in La Crescenta is a small pocket park with benches a picnic table and beautiful drought tolerant landscaping. Donations from the community originally funded the project and the building was managed by the past President of the Crescenta Valley Town Council, Robbyn Battles, local architect Ines Chessum and community member Fred Laughrey. Hundreds of volunteers came out to help build the project. In late 2016, Robbyn Battles met with the County to have the management and ongoing maintenance moved to ASTER a non-profit Robbyn helped start 5 years ago where she continues to serve as President. The Crescenta Commons committee made up of several community members are responsible for the decisions and actual maintenance of the Commons. ASTER looks forward to sponsoring gardening classes, co-operative reading circles with Monte Vista Elementary as well as fundraisers in the near future. If you would like to learn more about the Commons or volunteering please contact Robbyn Battles 818-249-7492 or email her at Robbyn@Battlesrealestate.com
